The final game for the State of Origin is coming up, and there are an estimated 10000 tickets that have yet to be sold. The game is set to be played at the Suncorp Stadium, and despite the many tickets that haven’t been bought, NRL officials believe that they will sell out before the start of the final game. Some aren’t so sure after Queensland lost the series in their last game.
Fans of Queensland were hoping that the Maroon would be able to see better luck in the series so far, and that they would ultimately end up at Suncorp Stadium, allowing them to play their only home game so far. The match, however, didn’t go as fans planned as NSW ran out of winners at the ANZ Stadium, which added to their overall win at the series opener.
NRL officials have stated that over 40000 tickets have already been sold for the upcoming event, and were confident that fans from both sides would be buying out the rest of the tickets soon to fill out the 52500-seat venue.
A spokesman for the NRL told reporters that Queensland fans are fiercely loyal to their Origin side, and that they expect them to see them turn up for the game for support. They also expect a lot of Blues supporters to arrive on the day, especially after witnessing the quality of Origin II, which they hope to maintain at Origin III.
