About Bet Right

bookmaker-cards

Bet Right is an Australian-owned bookmaker that was opened relatively recently back in 2021, but they stand out from the plethora of Aussie betting sites that have opened up this decade for many reasons.

Boasting an elite betting app and desktop site, Bet Right has a large range of sports available for punters to bet on, and plenty of markets within individual events too. Perhaps the feature of this new bookie, however, is their sports betting odds, which are right up there with the best in the business – not all that common for a smaller, relatively new betting site.

Beyond that, they’ve also got a good selection of payment methods and strong customer support platform – not areas which are likely to be as significant to most punters as the aforementioned couple, but still nice-to-haves!

As with every bookie, there are a couple of areas that Bet Right could improve, with their most notable deficiencies being the lack of live betting or live streaming. We’ll take a look at a couple of those throughout the course of this Bet Right review, but overall, this is a terrific betting site, and one which deserves to be rated among the best in the country.

Bet Right Racing

Horse racing

Bet Right is one of relatively few betting sites for whom you will find upcoming sports above upcoming racing on the home page, but that certainly doesn’t mean that they have neglected the latter. They have got all the standard markets available on all domestic and the typical international racing meets across thoroughbreds, harness and greyhound betting.

The Bet Right racing platform is a really easy one to navigate, and once you find your way through to the race on which you wish to bet, you’ll find a list of all runners with their odds and basic info such as their last five race results, trainer, jockey, weight and flucs. But there is more than just that available. A range of tabs above the top runner let you look at more in-depth information: tips, as you might have guessed, provides some more info on each runner for those after some horse racing tips; speed map shows where each runner might settle; form offers up a paragraph explaining their recent form; while flucs shows their fluctuations in more detail.

Aside from the standard markets, you’ll also be able to put together Same Race Multis, and this is available for all domestic races, not just Melbourne Cup betting markets or other major events. Overall, there’s not much to complain about when it comes to the Bet Right Australia racing platform.

Bet Right App

betting-appsThe Bet Right app is available for download on both iOS and Android devices, and from the moment that you first open it, it’s clear that this is a high-quality one. You’ll be greeted by an aesthetically pleasing home page, with a charcoal background punctuated by bright coloured banners above individual upcoming sports events, and Bet Right’s recognisable pink and green logo in the top left corner.

On this home page, without even needing to scroll you can see ‘next to jump’ races up the top, upcoming major sports events just below that, and a list of ‘Popular Now’ sports just below that. Scroll down a little and you’ll also have more ‘Upcoming Races’ links to click through.

Like most betting apps, there are a number of tabs at the bottom of the Bet Right Australia app home screen. From left to right, these tabs are; Menu, Home, Search, Racing, Sports and Bet Slip, but despite squeezing in six different tabs onto a little screen it doesn’t feel at all cluttered, because each of those tabs is advertised by a small image (such as a horse for racing, a ball for sports etc.) rather than the entire word.

You can quickly and easily deposit on the Bet Right app by simply clicking on the Bet Slip tab, which will bring up a ‘Deposit’ button in the top right-hand corner, while customer support is available by clicking on the ‘Menu’ tab and scrolling down to the ‘Support’ section.

All in all, this is a really, really good app. It looks great, it’s extremely easy to navigate around, and I’ve never experienced any sort of bug while using it. Like Bet Right more broadly, this might not be the most talked about app in the betting industry, but it’s right up there with the best.

Bet Right Desktop Site

betting-sites

Like the betting app, the Bet Right bookmaker site looks great and is extremely easy to use. The distinctive look of the app is plain to see here too, with bright colours standing out among a dark, shaded background – without wanting to harp on too much about aesthetics, it does actually look really good and distinguishes different events from one another very clearly, making it super easy to find whatever it is that you’re looking for.

The desktop site has a very similar layout to the app. Upcoming races are listed across the top of the page, with upcoming sporting events below that, and links through to specific sporting leagues like the AFL and NRL below that.

To access other features of the site, a drop-down menu is available on the left-hand side of your screen. On this menu – aside from more links to sports and racing markets – are links to Bet Right’s promotions page, customer support (more on both of these later in this Bet Right review) and various responsible gambling tools. You can also quickly and easily deposit funds by clicking on a big ‘Deposit’ button in the top right-hand corner.

I mentioned I don’t want to harp on too much about aesthetics, but I’m going to anyway. One nice little feature of this desktop site that Bet Right have added is a dark/light switch, which lets you change the look of the site. We’ll look a little more at what it does in the next section of this Bet Right Australia review.

Overall, this is an excellent betting site. It’s easy to use, looks great, has a couple of nice little features, and most importantly, functions really well.

Bet Right Products and Features

As the name suggests, Bet Right does a lot right. But while they do a great job of ticking the fundamental boxes, there aren’t all that many really obvious standout features. If you click through to ‘Products’ on their menu, however, you’ll find a few cheeky little extras that you might not have known about. Below, we take a look at a couple of the best Bet Right features you might not have been aware of.

market-variety

Pro Trades

Pro trades is a great feature of Bet Right which essentially enables you to see who the big punters are betting on. If you spot a little blue circle with a cross in the middle of it next to a particular race, that means you have access to the bets placed by a ‘Pro Trader’. So who are these pro traders? They’re actual clients at Bet Right, who become listed as a ‘pro’ when they’ve placed at least 500 bets on the specific type of race in question and have hit on at least 35% of them. Of course, caution is still advised – 35% for someone betting on $3 runners or more is elite, but if they’re betting on odds-on favourites all the time then it’s not that great a number. Still, it’s a nice feature to be able to check in on who the experienced punters are betting on, and let it guide your own decision-making.

exacta

Dark/light feature

This is a nice little feature of the desktop site which enables you to change the look of the site to suit your own preferences. You’ll see it up near the deposit button, a link that looks like a little sun or moon depending on which mode you’re currently on. It’s not a major thing, but being able to alternate between a light and a dark background is a nice addition – particularly useful if you prefer a lighter background most of the time, for example, but are trying to limit exposure to those brighter screens later at night. With this feature you can flick back and forth as you need.

Bet Right Betting Markets

features

There are a few different ways that Bet Right has managed to stand out from the plethora of new betting sites which joined the industry just after they did, but their range of markets is in my view one of the most notable among them.

Let’s start with their range of sports. Many newer bookmakers stick to the major leagues, and it’s understandable why – most punters have a few more AFL tips in their back pocket than tips for the European handball, so for bookies with limited resources it’s a bit of a waste of time to put up markets for every sport under the sun. But there’s certainly no harm in having a wide selection, and Bet Right definitely has that. At the time of writing they have 22 different sports available, with the likes of martial arts, snooker and table tennis mixed in among the more popular leagues.

As always there are less options to bet on for those smaller leagues, but when it comes to the AFL, NRL, tennis betting and other popular sporting events, you have no shortage of Bet Right betting markets. An upcoming game of footy has over 300 markets available, including pick your own line and a huge range of player props.

Of course, while having a broad selection of markets is important, if those aren’t backed up by decent odds you’ll probably be turning your attention elsewhere instead. But that is not at all the case at Bet Right, and in the next section of this Bet Right review we’ll take a closer look at the kinds of odds you can expect with this bookie.

Bet Right Odds and Margins

boosted-oddsThere’s no doubting that range of markets and odds are two of the most important components of a betting site, and at least when it comes to sports, Bet Right ticks them both off more like an established, international bookie than a smaller, Aussie-owned one that opened as recently as 2021.

Let’s start with what sort of odds you can expect from the Bet Right sports markets. A look at the line in an upcoming NBA game – and a pretty big one at that – has the line set at 7.5. The odds for both teams with that handicap applied is sitting at $1.91, which is pretty much as good as you will get with any betting site in the country. At worst, these markets hover at around $1.86 or $1.87; $1.91 is obviously a hell of a lot better than that and is realistically top of the pile for two teams with the same odds in a market like this.

If you take a look at the Bet Right sports betting odds for less common markets, you’ll find that they are generally really competitive as well. Their player props are typically pretty close to the best you’ll find, though one area in which they could improve is by adding more long value markets. For example, while some bookies might have odds for an AFL player to kick 2, 3, 4 or 5+ goals, with odds sometimes extending to $30 or more, Bet Right usually only provides a couple of options for each player and subsequently won’t often provide markets paying more than $5 or so.

And as for racing? Let’s take a look at an upcoming race in Kalgoorlie as an example. The favourite in that race is paying anywhere from $2.50 to $2.80 with other major betting sites, and is at $2.60 with Bet Right. The $3.50 on offer for the second favourite is relatively average relative to competitors, who list it at $3.50 to $3.80, and likewise the $6.25 available for the next best is shorter than most other bookies.

But that isn’t universally the case, and as we go out to the longer odds runners Bet Right starts offering superior odds to most competitors. This isn’t applicable to every race but there does appear to be a tendency for them to offer better odds for value runners and inferior odds for the favourites, so depending what kind of runners you bet on this could be a pro or a con for you.

Bet Right Promotions and Bonuses

bonuses

Bet Right has a relatively solid range of promotions and bonuses, though they don’t appear to have made this a focus in the same way that some other bookies have. Where other betting sites have all of their biggest promos plastered across their home page, Bet Right reserves that space for links through to the actual events, and to access their range of betting bonuses you’ll need to click on the menu on the left-hand side of the desktop site – or at the bottom of the Bet Right betting app – and click on promos.

As usual, we can’t tell you the specific promotions that are on offer with Bet Right, but they keep it pretty simple. None of the bonuses available here are anything too out of the ordinary, with things like Bet Right bonus bet returns for near-miss multis a common feature, as well as a few deposit bonuses here and there too. If you’re a promo-hunter then you’ll definitely find a better range of them elsewhere, but it’s overall a pretty standard selection of promo and won’t ruffle the proverbial feathers of too many punters.

How to Sign Up at Bet Right

You can sign up with Bet Right on either their betting app or desktop site, and this is how you do it.

  1. Locate the ‘Sign Up’ button on whatever platform you’re using – either way, it’s a big pink button in the top right-hand corner of your screen.
  2. You’ll be greeted with a pop-up asking for your name – fill that in and hit ‘Continue’.
  3. You’ll then be prompted to enter your email address, mobile number and address. Again, fill that in then hit ‘Continue’.
  4. Finally, you’ll be asked to enter your date of birth and account details, select your communication preferences, hit ‘Sign Up’ and you’re all done.

Bet Right Banking

payment-methods

The Bet Right betting site offers a pretty solid selection of payment options, with the ubiquitous debit/credit card option accompanied by PayID, Apple Pay, Google Pay and EFT. Note that all of these are instantaneous deposit methods with the exception of EFT.

Generally debit/credit card is a pretty foolproof option and that remains the case here, but if you’re using the Bet Right mobile app it’s actually easier to use ApplePay if you’ve got it set up. When you go to deposit, you’ll see a banner immediately under the box where you input your deposit amount asking you to deposit using Apple Pay. If you’ve got the right device and the method set up, depositing is simply a matter of clicking that button and then double clicking the side button on your phone when prompted.

Whichever method you use, the platform for deposits with the Bet Right bookie is really simple to use. If you manage to get to the point where you need to use the Bet Right withdrawal platform – first off, good for you! – your options will be limited to just bank transfer, as it is with many betting sites. This will take anywhere from a few hours to a day or two to get to your bank account, but it will get there.

Bet Right Customer Service

customer-support

Customer support – you don’t want to contact them, they probably don’t really want to be contacted by you, but it’s nice to know they’re there. I recently had to contact the customer support of a particular non-betting business platform and was told the wait time was three months! Fortunately, that’s not the case with Bet Right – far from it.

Their customer support platform can be found by clicking on the menu and scrolling down to ‘Contact Us’. This will take you to a page which offers each of an email address, phone number and live chat function. Importantly, the live chat function is available 24/7.

The customer service agents are generally relatively friendly and helpful, too – you won’t be left arguing with a robot like you might with some other businesses. Overall, there isn’t much more you could ask for in terms of customer support options than what you’ll find at Bet Right.

FAQs About Bet Right

That’s just about all she wrote for this comprehensive Bet Right Australia review, but before we officially wind things up, let’s take a look at some of the most frequently asked questions punters have about this bookmaker.

Of course. Bet Right is licensed and regulated by the Northern Territory Racing and Wagering Commission, which they advertise at the bottom of their site. At AustralianBettingSites we only review officially licensed bookmakers.

Bet Right is owned by a company called IRPSX Pty Ltd, who operate out of offices in Sydney.

Unfortunately, at this point in time live streaming is not available with Bet Right.

Nope, this is another feature which is absent from Bet Right, with no live betting available at the time of writing.

To bet with Bet Right, you need to be at least 18 years of age and located within Australia at the time of placing your bet.

Bet Right has a really broad range of sports available, but it’s in the major ones where they shine. If you’re looking for a quality cricket betting site, somewhere to make use of your NRL tips or a bookie for betting on the NBA, you’ll have plenty of markets available at your fingertips if you use Bet Right.

James is a sports writer, editor and published author from Melbourne, Australia. He has close to a decade of experience in the writing industry, but his love for sports started long before that. The MCG was James’ favourite place in the world growing up (and probably still is), somewhere he would head most weekends to watch his beloved Tigers throughout the colder months, as well as every Boxing Day for the cricket. When he wasn’t watching footy or cricket, it was a safe bet he was either playing them, or watching something else – be it the surfing, the NBA, EPL, NRL or anything else he could find on the family TV. As the publisher of a book titled Sport’s Greatest Statistical Anomalies, it’s no surprise that statistics play a big role in James’ love of sports, and his love of numbers lends itself nicely to punting. Scouring the stats is something James finds a whole lot more fun than most people, so if you’re looking for some in-depth analysis for an upcoming game in all manner of sports, he’s your guy.
