Carlton Blues Betting Tips, Odds & Best Bets

The Carlton Blues are one of the oldest and most successful clubs in the AFL. One of the eight clubs in the league’s founding 1897 season, the Blues have won the equal most Premierships in their history, and have long had one of the largest and most passionate supporter bases in the business. Though recent success has been more difficult to come by, they made a long-awaited return to the finals in 2023 and backed it up with another finals appearance the next year.

Carlton News

The Blues are in the midst of a disappointing 2025 campaign, and for all the latest Carlton news your best bet is to head to their website at www.carltonfc.com.au.

History of the Carlton Blues

The Blues were formed way back in 1864, making them one of the oldest clubs in the AFL. Their first Premiership in the big league came in 1906, the first of sixteen that century. Unfortunately, their most recent success was back in 1995, and since then they have failed to live up to the lofty standards expected of them by their substantial supporter base, making the finals just six times since 2001. But support for this giant club remains steadfast, with their 106,345 members in 2024 the second-most in the league.

How to Watch the Carlton Blues

The Blues have enjoyed plenty of primetime slots in 2025, with all of their Thursday and Friday night games as well as a handful of others broadcast on Channel 7 or 7Mate, depending which state you’re in. Each game is also available to watch on Foxtel or Kayo, while if you’re overseas you can tune into the Carlton game today via WatchAFL.

FAQs About the Carlton Blues

Below are some frequently asked questions about the Carlton Blues.

The Blues play home games at both the MCG and Marvel Stadium, while their home training base is IKON Park (AKA Princes Park).

The Blues have had plenty of top-end talent in recent years, with two-time Brownlow Medalist and captain Patrick Cripps leading the way. Jacob Weitering is one of the best defenders in the league, Charlie Curnow is a two-time Coleman Medalist, while Tom de Koning has rapidly developed into one of the most in-demand rucks in the league.

Patrick Cripps has not had the season he did in 2024 when he picked up an historic 45 votes, but Carlton odds with most betting sites will favour him to once again lead the way for the Blues.

The Blues last won the flag in 1995, when they beat the Cats by 61 points.

Stephen Kernahan leads the way with 738 goals, ahead of Harry Vallence with 722.

Depends who you ask! John Nicholls was voted the Blues’ greatest ever in 2014 ahead of Stephen Kernahan, Bruce Doull, Alex Jesalenko and Stephen Silvagni, while Cripps has put himself in rare company with two Brownlows.
