Geelong Cats Betting Tips, Odds & Best Bets

The Cats have been the most consistently competitive team in the AFL over the past two decades, one of a very select handful of teams seemingly immune to the raft of equalisation measures that exist in the league. Their ability to regularly find quality later in the draft and attract talent from other teams has enabled them to remain almost exclusively towards the top-end of the ladder, and they are well-placed for yet another Premiership tilt in 2025.

History of the Geelong Cats

The Cats were formed in 1859 and were a founding member of the breakaway VFL league when it began in 1897. After taking nearly 30 years to get their first flag, they picked up six of them between 1925 and 1963, but a famous drought ensued until 2007. Once they broke it, however, the waters opened; one of the best teams in recent memories would go on to win again in 2009 and 2011, and after countless Preliminary Finals defeats they once again climbed to the top of the mountain in 2022.
