AFL 2025 Multi Bet of the Week - Round 21

The AFL home and away season is nearing a close, and there are a number of hugely consequential games set to take place this weekend. A couple of them will kick off our AFL multi bet for Round 21, beginning with a player prop in the Bulldogs vs Giants clash before we head to Adelaide Oval the next day for the Crows vs Hawks game. Take a look at the detailed explanations for each tip below.

31st of July, 7.20pm AEST, Marvel Stadium

We kick things off with a player prop in what should be a fantastic game at Marvel Stadium on Thursday night fighting for spots in the top 8, and potentially the top 4. And while I would usually look to start things off with a lower odds AFL multi tip to make sure we keep it going for at least a couple of legs, on this occasion Aaron Naughton looks like such good value to kick another haul that he is impossible to ignore.

Betting sites like Bet365 are offering close to $4 for the AstroNaught to boot four goals, and there is good reason to think that is very good value. Naughton has been in scintillating form of late, kicking 5, 5, 2 and 7 in his last four games, and while a couple of those have been against meek opposition, he’s also done it against good teams. Naughton benefits enormously from Sam Darcy’s presence, his key forward partner taking the best defender away, which on this occasion is the brilliant Sam Taylor. Normally that would leave Jack Buckley, another quality defender, on Naughton, but he’s set to miss this game through injury. In what should be a fast game at Marvel Stadium, Naughton is great value to capitalise on the Giants’ injuries.

Adelaide Crows vs Hawthorn Hawks

1st of August, 7.30pm AEST, Adelaide Oval

The Crows are one of the best offensive teams in the AFL. They’ve scored the 3rd most points in the league, averaging over 100 points per game, and in recent weeks have been absolutely scintillating, particularly at Adelaide Oval. They have scored at least 90 points in each of their last five games, averaging a whopping 112.2 points per game in that time, and they’ve done so against teams both good and bad.

The Hawks certainly fall into the former of those categories, but that does not mean they’ll be able to stop the Crows onslaught. Conditions are forecast to be dry on Friday evening in Adelaide, which makes the 89.5-point line set by betting apps for the Crows look very low. They’ve passed that number in eight of their ten home games this season, so at virtually even money to do so in this one they look like great value to hopefully keep our AFL multi for the week alive.

2nd of August, 2.10pm AEST, People First Stadium

After a couple of relatively standard bets, I’m going to finish things off with one of the more obscure AFL multi bets you’ll come across, but one which could offer great value. It hasn’t taken long for the highly rated Taj Hotton to show his prodigious talent at AFL level, in three games already putting together an impressive highlights package.

He’s also proven his ability to hit the scoreboard, kicking a goal in his first game and two last week in his third. Hotton may long-term have the ability to play stints in the middle, but for the moment he’s a small forward through and through, and already one of the Tigers’ most talented. His goal sense is plain to see and was on show with a couple of impressive goals last weekend, one following a big mark and another a skilful finish in traffic, and at better than even money odds to hit the scoreboard again against the Suns, this looks like one of the better AFL tips for the weekend.
