EPL 2025/26 Matchweek 4

It has been the Liverpool show so far this season in the Premier League and the reds look very well placed to continue their canter to a second consecutive EPL title. Arne Slot’s men showed their teeth to overcome Everton last weekend and with Arsenal clinching a famous late point against Manchester City, Liverpool have already opened up a big gap over the chasing pack.

Down at the bottom of the pile, Wolves are awaiting their first points of the season, after opening up their campaign with 5 losses on the spin, while West Ham and Aston Villa also have plenty of work to do, with both sides languishing in the relegation zone.

Another international hiatus is on the agenda following this round of games and each side will be doing all they can to keep putting points on the board.

Gtech Community Stadium, 27th September 2025 – 20.30

Following their return to winning ways against Chelsea, Manchester United will be looking to develop some sort of momentum here, as they take on Brentford. The Bees are plugging away under Keith Andrews, without perhaps getting the results their performances deserve. United meanwhile have work to do under Ruben Amorim, but they have made some improvements this season and should be confident ahead of this one. Goals and chaos could be on the cards here though and this could end up as a draw.

Elland Road, 27th September 2025 – 23.00

A superb win on the road at Wolves has given Leeds a new lease of life this season and Daniel Farke’s side will be looking to kick on here against Bournemouth. The whites were chasing a first win since the opening day of the season at Molyneux last weekend and showed quality to get the job done. Bournemouth meanwhile are ticking along very nicely this season, currently sat in the top 5 in the table and they will see this as a real test of their mettle. This should be a good one and Bournemouth look good value to pick up all three points.

Etihad Stadium, 27th September 2025 – 23.00

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have been able to navigate a tricky week in both the Premier League and Champions League, and they will be looking to keep that run going against Burnley. Wins over Manchester United and Napoli, and a draw with Arsenal, have given City a new found spring in their step, with a crucial period of the campaign approaching, Burnley meanwhile are going well under Scott Parker, and they have shown plenty of signs that they could survive in the Premier League this term. City may be going well but they could struggle to breakdown this resolute and organised Burnley side, bringing the draw into play.

    Brighton

Stamford Bridge, 27th September 2025 – 23.00

Chelsea will be looking to get back to winning ways, as they take on Brighton in West London. A late draw with Brentford and losses to Manchester United and Bayern Munich have burst the bubble around Chelsea a touch and they need to find form again. Brighton meanwhile lost at Bournemouth last time out but have enjoyed a solid enough start in the Premier League and have progressed in the Carabao Cup this week too. This will be a close one, but home advantage could see Chelsea over the line.

BookmakerTipOdds

Predicted Lineups:

Chelsea: Sanchez, Gusto, Fofana, Chalobah, Cucurella, Caicedo, Enzo, Pedro, Estevao, Neto & George.

Selhurst Park, 27th September 2025 – 23.00

A repeat of the Community Shield from last month lies in wait here, as Crystal Palace take on Liverpool. The Eagles have started the season well, without perhaps scoring the goals many people would have expected but they will be bang up for this one against the champions. Nothing looks capable of stopping Liverpool at the moment though and with endless strength in depth, this should be another procession for Arne Slot’s men.

Predicted Lineups:

Crystal Palace: Henderson, Munoz, Guehi, Richards, Lacroix, Mitchell, Hughes, Kamada, Sarr, Mateta & Pino.

Nottingham Forest vs Sunderland

  • Nottingham Forest
  • Sunderland

City Ground, 28th September 2025 – 01.30

Change is afoot at Nottingham Forest, and the Tricky Trees will be desperate to get back on track here against Sunderland. Ange Postecoglou is the man at the helm at the City Ground, and he will be under pressure to get a tune out of his side here. Sunderland meanwhile have adapted brilliantly to life in the Premier League, but they will be desperate to keep that run going. Forest need a win with plenty of rhetoric around them and they should get one here.

BookmakerTipOdds

Tottenham vs Wolves

    Wolves

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 28th September 2025 – 04.00

Thomas Frank is beginning to get his teeth into this Tottenham side, and they will be eager to keep their good run of form going here, as they take on Wolves. Spurs are sat in the top 4 and got off to a winning start in the Champions League and there is plenty of optimism around the club currently. The same cannot be said for Wolves however, who are winless in their opening 5 games and this one feels like a tall order. Spurs are going very well at the moment, and they could put Wolves to the sword here.

BookmakerTipOdds
playupA penalty to be awarded $3.00

Aston Villa vs Fulham

  • Aston Vila
    Aston Villa
  • Fulham

Villa Park, 28th September 2025 – 22.00

It has been a tough start to the season for Unai Emery and Aston Villa and Fulham will be looking to make it tougher this weekend. Villa are winless in their opening 5 games and look to be lacking a serious goal threat too. Fulham meanwhile are showing resolve in every game they play and they are match for anybody on their day. Neither side will want to lose this one and it could well end up being a draw at Villa Park.

Newcastle United vs Arsenal

  • Arsenal
    Arsenal

St James’s Park, 29th September 2025 – 00.30

Arsenal dug deep to clinch a point against Manchester City last time out and they will be chasing a repeat showing here at Newcastle. Toon have lacked their usual spark so far this season and their lack of goal threat could be an issue for them this term. Arsenal meanwhile are looking like the most realistic title challengers to Liverpool, but they need to get their house in order to compete. This will be a cracker, which Arsenal should manage to emerge from with all three points in the bag.

BookmakerTipOdds

Everton vs West Ham United

    West Ham United

Hill Dickenson Stadium, 30th September 2025 – 04.00

David Moyes will welcome his former employers to Everton on Monday night, as the Toffees take on West Ham. Everton have begun the campaign very well but losses to Liverpool and Wolves in the past week have the capacity to knock their confidence a touch. West Ham meanwhile are a side under pressure, and their manager Graham Potter will be desperate to see his side dig in here. Everton are going well this term though, especially at home and this could be the nail in Potter’s coffin.
