NRL 2025 Multi Bet of the Week - Finals Week One

We very nearly made it two big wins in as many weeks in Round 27, with just one of our NRL multi bets failing to hit – that being James Tedesco to score a try, which he could easily have done given his Roosters put up 36 points. Alas, he did not, so it’s back to the well for the first week of the finals. This weekend consists of four games beginning on Friday night when the Storm host the Bulldogs, and it’s there that we kick off our NRL multi bet for this week’s four games.

We’ll keep things simple to start off with, with a line bet on the most consistently successful team of the modern era. The Storm have held Premiership favouritism for much of the season, and while they’ve slipped up with a couple of losses over the past fortnight and will enter this game down a couple of key players, they will still be confident against an out-of-form Bulldogs side. The Bulldogs enter just their second final in the past ten years having lost four of their last six games, far from the ideal tune-up prior to what will be a heated matchup in probably the toughest location for visitors to win in the league. The 5.5-point line set by betting sites looks very attainable for the Storm.

They say not to change a winning formula, and Casey McLean has been exactly that in recent weeks. The Panthers’ teenager has been a try scoring machine of late, managing nine tries in his past seven games, and when he crossed the line last weekend it was the sixth game out of those seven in which he’d scored. Despite that, the betting apps have him at even money to score in a game which the Panthers are a good chance of winning comfortably. He looks like a much better than even money chance of scoring once again in this one.

Cronulla Sharks vs Sydney Roosters

Aussie betting sites often don’t offer great value when it comes to players scoring multiple tries given it doesn’t happen all that often, but when someone is playing the way Mark Nawaqanitawase is, the market is impossible to ignore. The Roosters winger has had an incredible last couple of weeks – after amassing four tries against the Storm a fortnight ago, he managed another three against the Rabbitohs last weekend to make it seven in two weeks. He also scored three just three games prior to this run, while in more than half of the 13 games in which he’s scored a try this year, he’s scored at least two. His form over the past fortnight isn’t sustainable, but with his confidence brimming and the Roosters looking for him at every opportunity, he adds some great value to our NRL multi bet at relatively long odds.
