Penrith Panthers Betting Tips, Odds & Best Bets

Prior to this decade, the Panthers had not been a particularly successful team. But after losing the 2020 Grand Final to the Storm, they began the greatest run since the 1960s, when the Dragons 11 Premierships in a row. Led by coach Ivan Cleary and his son and captain Nathan, they’ve won four on the trot to become the dominant team of the modern era. A string of personnel losses have slowly weakened them, but they remain a force to be reckoned them as they attempt to win an incredible fifth on the trot in 2025.

History of the Penrith Panthers

The Panthers joined the NSWRFL in 1967, and it’s safe to say that their early days were not particularly successful. They failed to make the finals for their first 18 season, but things gradually began to turn around in the late ‘80s and after losing in their inaugural Grand Final appearance, they won their first flag in 1991. They picked up a second in 2003 but for the next 15 years were largely an average team, but that all changed in 2020. After losing just one game in a Covid-interrupted season they went down in heartbreaking fashion to the Storm on Grand Final Day, and since then have set about enacting revenge on both the Storm and the rest of the league with an historic run of four straight flags. Most Panthers tips had them in the mix again in 2025, and despite a slow start to the season, they worked into some ominous form as it wore on. And if the Panthers odds are to be believed, they are right back into the mix for a fifth straight flag.
