Saturday Horse Racing Tips – Caulfield 30/08/2025

It's Matt here. Please enjoy some of my Horse racing tips at Caulfield on Saturday. For my best bet of the day, it has to be Mazu in Race 7 at Caulfield. I will also be watching Pop Award closely in Race 9 at Caulfield. The track at Caulfield is currently rated a soft 5 so keep that in mind. Let's go!

Here are my best picks for Saturday's racing action at Caulfield. I have Mazu to dominate in Race 7. I also think that Miss Roumbini in Race 7 and Another Wil in Race 9 can get the job done.

Best Bet - Race 7: Mazu

Top Tip (Best Bet): Mazu

A finish beyond the top four last run, yet still showing promise for upcoming runs. Mazu competed at Doomben over 1200m, finishing 6th.

Biggest Threat (Danger): She's Bulletproof

Finished outside the top four in her last race but had moments that hinted at better performances ahead. She's Bulletproof raced recently, placing 5th in a 1200m event at Moonee Valley. Has run well on soft tracks in the past, so keep an eye on it on Saturday. Hasn’t won at Caulfield yet, but might be ready to change that.

Value Play: Outback Miss

Last race saw a determined fourth-place effort, showing promise for next time. Last start performance, Outback Miss came 4th over 1200m at Rosehill. Loves these soft track conditions. This track is a favourite of Outback Miss, and with a perfect record, it’s hard to see anything stopping her. Half of its races end in victory - that’s a solid stat.

Top Tip (Best Bet): Miss Roumbini

A winner last time out, bringing great form into this race. Last outing, Miss Roumbini took on a 1300m race at Gold Coast and finished 1st.

Biggest Threat (Danger): Pop Award

Three consecutive placings highlight the form of Pop Award and ability to stay near the front. Handles 1200m exceptionally well, a must-watch in this race. Has experience at this distance, with 3 wins in 4 starts. Pop Award has been absolutely unbeatable here at Caulfield - the record speaks for itself. Handles this track well, boasting 2 wins from 2 runs.

Value Play: Geegees Mistruth

Outstanding performance in its last start. Last time out, Geegees Mistruth competed over 1400m, placing 1st at Launceston. Soft conditions bring out the best in this runner, expect another strong effort. Has experience on soft tracks, with a career 75% win percentage and a 100% place percentage.

Top Tip (Best Bet): Another Wil

Missed the top four last start but kept on well in the closing stages. On 05/04/2025, Another Wil lined up at Randwick, finishing 6th over 1600m. Soft going isn’t a problem, but might prefer it slightly firmer. Has experience at this track, with a 66.7% win percentage and 5 placings.

Biggest Threat (Danger): Treasurethe Moment

Treasurethe Moment has consistently finished in the placings over the past three races. Last start, Treasurethe Moment finished in the placings over 2400m at Randwick on 12/04/2025. Perfect record over this distance (1400m), loves every step of it. Has raced 2 times over this distance, winning 100% and placing in 100%. Has experience at this track, with a 100% win percentage and 2 placings. Unbeaten in these conditions, and looks ready to keep that streak going.

Value Play: Tom Kitten

A determined third-place finish in the previous race, suggesting more to come. Tom Kitten ran at Randwick on 12/04/2025, finishing 3rd in a 2000m event. Still looking for its first win at the Caulfield track.

Shinny has 9 runners on Saturday and he should be able to grab a few winners here and there.
