Saturday Horse Racing Tips – Doomben 04/10/2025

Matt here from ABS. I've got some Horse racing tips to enjoy for Saturday's racing at Doomben. For my best bet of the day, it has to be Facundo in Race 7 at Doomben. I will also be watching Just Precious closely in Race 9 at Doomben. The Doomben has been given a 5 rating, which means it's a bit soft under foot. Good luck punters!

My top picks are hot off the press. In Race 7, Facundo looks like safe money to win. While in the next two races, Surprise Honey and Navyonthehighway should run a solid race.

Top Tip (Best Bet): Facundo

A dominant display in the last race makes this runner hard to ignore. Last start, Facundo finished in the placings over 1350m at Doomben on 17/09/2025. Has had success at 1350m before, could be a factor again. Facundo has been competitive here, and with a solid record, another top run isn’t out of the question. At this venue, has a career record of 2-0-1, including 2 victories. Has performed respectably on soft tracks before, and another good run wouldn’t shock. A solid winning record - capable on its day.

Biggest Threat (Danger): Rock Hard Love

Finished outside the top four in his last race but had moments that hinted at better performances ahead. Last start performance, Rock Hard Love came 5th over 1815m at Eagle Farm. Winless at Doomben - needs to lift to turn that around, this could be his race to do it.

Value Play: Lion Class

Solid effort to claim second last race, just missing the win. Lion Class ran at Doomben on 13/09/2025, finishing 2nd in a 1350m event. Yet to crack it at this track (Doomben) - will this race be the one?

Three consecutive placings highlight the form of Surprise Honey and ability to stay near the front. Surprise Honey competed at Gold Coast over 1200m, finishing 1st.

Biggest Threat (Danger): Just Precious

Last race resulted in a fourth-place finish, looking to bounce back. Just Precious stepped out at Doomben on 06/09/2025, finishing 4th over 1350m. At Doomben, has managed a win here and can improve on that record this Saturday.

Value Play: Chalice Well

Three consecutive placings highlight the form of Chalice Well and ability to stay near the front. Chalice Well raced at Doomben last start, covering 1110m and finishing 2nd. 1110m distance suits - right in the mix. Has raced 8 times over this distance, winning 50% and placing in 62.5%. Chalice Well has shown it can get the job done at Doomben, so don’t count it out. Can surprise when conditions suit.

A result outside the top four last race, but there’s room for progress. On 06/09/2025, Epic Proportions lined up at Moonee Valley, finishing 6th over 1200m. Still looking for its first win at the Doomben track.

Value Play: Maximum Output

Dominant victory last start. Maximum Output raced recently, placing 1st in a 1000m event at Gold Coast.

Ryan Maloney has plenty of winning chances, Victory Win in Race 3 is likely his best shot of the day.
