Also, for my cheeky value play, I've got my eye locked on New York Lustre in Race 9 at Randwick. Dug deep for a third-place finish last start, staying tough to the end. Land Legend ran at Rosehill on 16/08/2025, finishing 3rd in a 1400m event. Goes well at this Randwick track and has won half of its starts here. Has raced 4 times at this track, winning 2 times.

Back from a long spell and looking to continue her winning ways. She’s excellent running first-up, winning 2 of 3. Loves the track, hasn’t lost in 3 of 3 starts. J-Mac on board. Great bet.

Biggest Threat (Danger): In Flight

Claimed a stylish victory last time and could do it again. In Flight has shown it can get the job done at Randwick, so don’t count it out. Has experience at this track, with a 50% win percentage and 3 placings.

Value Play: New York Lustre

A solid fourth last start, displaying consistency and strength. Last start performance, New York Lustre came 4th over 1000m at Moonee Valley. Has won most times over this 1000m distance, should be right in it. Competitive at the trip, placing in 75% of 4 starts, with 3 wins.

Top Tip (Best Bet): Linebacker

Struggled to land in the top four last race, yet displayed moments of promise. Linebacker ran at Randwick on 05/04/2025, finishing 8th in a 1600m event. Not the strongest Randwick track form but has won here before.

Biggest Threat (Danger): Swiftfalcon

Last race resulted in a fourth-place finish, looking to bounce back. Swiftfalcon raced at Randwick last start, covering 2000m and finishing 4th. Winning form is rare but possible with the right setup.

Value Play: Willydoit

Battled hard for fourth last race, staying within striking distance. Last time out, Willydoit competed over 2400m, placing 4th at Randwick. A true master over 1400m - hasn't been beaten yet and unlikely to start now. Still searching for that first win at Randwick, but it’s certainly not out of the question.

Lady Shenandoah in Race 8 should be one of McDonald’s best of the day.

On Saturday, this is my quaddie bet of the day to get around, should offer plenty of fun while watching the races live.
