Hey punters! On Saturday, the racing continues with some highly anticipated thoroughbred races at Rosehill. I like the form coming into this raceday for Piggyback at Rosehill in Race 7. I will also be watching Rolling Magic closely in Race 10 at Rosehill. Also, the track surface at Rosehill is rated a heavy 8, so runners that like a slop will be favoured. A credible fourth-place finish last race, improving with each run. Piggyback raced recently, placing 4th in a 1800m event at Randwick. Solid strike rate at this trip (2000m), should be competitive. Still searching for that first win at Rosehill, but it’s certainly not out of the question.

Biggest Threat (Danger): Juja Kibo

With three consecutive placings, Juja Kibo has shown its ability to stay competitive. Juja Kibo competed at Sandown-Hillside over 1800m, finishing 1st.

Value Play: Cormac T

A finish beyond the top four last run, yet still showing promise for upcoming runs. On 19/07/2025, Cormac T lined up at Rosehill, finishing 6th over 2400m. Though not a standout in the wet, this horse has proven it can rise to the occasion.

Rolling Magic ran at Rosehill on 19/07/2025, finishing 8th in a 1300m event. This trip of 1400m suits perfectly, proven performer time and time again.

Value Play: Gently Rolled

Missed the top four in her last run but showed enough to suggest a stronger performance is near. Last outing, Gently Rolled took on a 1400m race at Randwick and finished 5th.

Back from a long spell and has trained the house down. He comes into this race with 3 straight wins in trials at Randwick and James McDonald is on board - one of the top jockeys of the day. Also loves the distance, has placed in both runs over 1100m.

Value Play: Balkans

An exciting last-start victory suggests another big run is possible. Last time out, Balkans competed over 1100m, placing 1st at Canterbury. No wins at Rosehill yet, but this could be the day Balkans turns things around.

J-Mac is always riding well it seems and Saturday should be no exception. Look out for his top favourites in the first 4 races.
