With back-to-back second placings to kick off his career, I think Green Spring looks set to break his maiden on the third attempt. He has been back at the trials since his first two runs, and he has drawn well this time out. I think he can redeem himself from getting beaten when going around as a $1.24 favourite last time out at Doomben.

Squeezebox has finished third in back-to-back races at Wyong and Kembla Grange, and comes into this one third-up. This looks to be a fairly easy field, and the gelding will have to lug the top weight, but he has the class to get the job done. Jockey Alysha Collett retains the ride and looks set to help Squeezebox notch up his second career win.

Heading to the last now at Geelong, and I’ve settled on Hot Too Go, who is currently going around as the favourite. Resumed after a 20-week break two runs back, and won that one at this track. Backed that performance up with a second placing at Sale, which was over a similar distance to this run. He competed at Group One level last Spring, so I’m pretty keen on him for this one.
