Early in the day at Mornington, I’m interested in having a little something on Uyuni, who is the favourite. She showed her potential in jumpouts and then finished second behind the heavy favourite at Kyneton, while going around with odds of $61. I reckon there will be improvement from that run, so, understandably, she has caught the eye of many.

While the $1.95 that is on offer doesn’t exactly scream value, it’s difficult to see anyone other than Straight Sets getting the win here. The filly got the job done last time out at Newcastle, when starting as the narrow favourite. It was a gusty win, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see her shorten either, so get on the $1.95 while you still can.

For my final best bet of the day, I think having something each-way on Path To Profit is worth a shout. In her two career starts so far, she has been there or thereabouts, finishing within a length of the winner on both occasions. The form from those two previous races has been franked as well, and with experience on her side, she is good enough to win this.
