A field of nine for this one, and Oakfield Pluto is the clear favourite. The Kris Lees-trained gelding boasts a second and a first so far in his career. He also brings a level of pedigree to this one, as the half-brother of Winter Bride (a triple Group Three winner) and out of Ameberino (a Group Two winner). Just missed it last start and can atone here.

Liking the each-way play with Flossing here at Moe today. This old boy has been in and around it in his last couple of runs, including a strong finish last time out. Has to carry the top weight, but gets a weight claim thanks to apprentice jockey Caitlin Hollowood. I can easily see him run in the placings at least here.

It’s somewhat of an open field here, and I’m going with Queen Of A Hand, who is currently paying $3.70. She resumes after a spell, and we haven’t seen the mare since mid-February. She draws well, snagging barrier two, and has already won at this track over virtually the same distance. There’s a lot to like about her first-up.
