Now, the $1.65 that’s currently on offer with PlayUp for Star Rapper doesn’t exactly scream value, but it’s very hard to see anyone else beating the gelding. Tackles this one third-up after winning to kick off his prep and a 0.35L second place last time out. Draws well, and Rhys McLeod, who won with Star Rapper first-up, is back on board.

Brannum finished second last time out at Moruya, by just 0.5L, and I think today is the day he can go one better, locking in his first career win. Draws wide for this run, but on what is expected to be a Heavy-rated track, that may just be the place runners want to stick with. Looks like the main chance in the race.

I’m taking a little bit of a chance with Gorush Lightning in Race 6 at Moruya today, who is paying $4.80 for the place. With back-to-back placings for Gorush Lightning, there’s a lot to like about the gelding. He does jump up in grade from a BM58 to a BM66, but his third-place two runs back was in a BM66.
