I’m backing the favourite, Street Artist, today in Race 3 at Bendigo. It’s difficult to see any other runner win this one, so while the $1.85 isn’t anything to write home about, it’s better than nothing. It’s only a small field as well, with just seven runners. Last time out, Street Artist won at Mornington, and he steps up to 1,100m now, which shouldn’t be an issue.

Despite drawing wide, I’m sticking with Al Prancer. The gelding is yet to break into the winner’s stall, but has a long list of decent results, with a career record of 5:0-2-2. Last time out, he didn’t get the luck and finished fifth at Sale. The form from that one has been franked, and he has had a jump out since then. I think he can notch up his first career win here.

Heading to Cootamundra now, and I’m interested in seeing what Whiskey George can do here. He is looking for the hat trick of wins after winning in both Bathurst and Gundagai so far this prep. He is the clear in-form runner, and yet we are still getting odds of $5.00 for him. This might be a slightly tougher field, but you can’t knock that winning form.
