Captain Maverick is on the short back-up for this one, and with a host of second placings, he looks difficult to beat. The Chris Waller-trained gelding has been in and around metro level so far this prep, and jockey Nash Rawiller takes over in the saddle. It’s an open field, but the $4.00 that’s on offer for Captain Maverick still has some value.

Hibiki Harmony couldn’t get the job done last time out at Narromine as the narrow favourite. She holds favouritism again here, and I think a little redemption is in order. That one was on a Heavy track, now she gets a Good track, where she has a record of 7:1-1-1. Jockey Mitchell Bell replaces Braith Nock as well.
