With a career record of 3: 0-2-1, I think Sensational Secret is ripe to break her maiden in this one. Her first up run was full of merit, finishing 1L off the leader in second place. There was also a bit of a gap back to third, 3.5L, and I think she’ll be able to take care of this field. Jordan Childs books his fourth ride with the mare today as well.

It’s somewhat of an open field for this one in Mudgee, and I’m sticking with Casino Stage, who is currently paying around the $3.00 mark. Won in Tamworth two runs back before a strong finishing fourth place last time out in Scone. He goes from 1,700m to 2,000m here, which looks ideal. Gets a weight relief with apprentice jockey Leeshelle Small.

Tournelle is currently at borderline each-way value, and that’s how I’m going to play her in this one. She tackles this one fifth up, and she is yet to miss the placings. This includes a second place at Bendigo by just 0.4L to kick off her campaign. Will have to overcome a wide barrier, but Jamie Mott retains the ride and can help get the job done.
