A field of just nine for the Group Two Hot Danish Stakes, and the market has its eye on two runners, Miraval Rose and Miss Roumbini, with the rest in double-digit figures. I could make a case for a lot of these runners, but I’ve made up my mind and I’m going with Pride Of Jenni. She won the Empire Rose Stakes by 4.5L last Saturday, and while she’s on the seven-day back-up, she’ll take the absolute power of beating.

Heading to Eagle Farm now, where I think I’ve spotted a diamond in the rough with Miss Joelene. We haven’t seen the mare since June, but that was a win in the Listed Tattersall's Gold Crown. She’s a classy runner, but the market seems to have forgotten about her, so I’m willing to take a chance on the place at $3.30. She also has a first-up record of 5:4-0-1.
