Going against the favourite here in Race 5 at Hawkesbury. Many didn’t give Precinct a chance last time out, but the 4YO managed to break her maiden as a $15 pop. That was at Goulburn and on a Heavy-rated track; by the time this one rolls around, we could be looking at another Heavy track. She’s pretty fit and worth a shout at the odds.

Heading to the last at Seymour now, and Empire Of Pain looks like a great each-way play. Kicked off this prep with a narrow second place at Cranbourne. Steps up to a BM62 for this one, and she should be fitter for that run under her belt. That second was also on a Soft track, which is what we should get here for this one (or even Heavy).

Missed the start last time out, but still managed to finish just 0.58L off the leader at Belmont. This prep has been fairly successful so far as well, with the mare claiming three top-three finishes out of six runs.
