For this Group Three, I’m taking a little chance with Grand Prairie, playing it safe with a place bet. Hot off the heels of winning the Group Three Up And Coming Stakes, the colt presents some good value here. Jockey Kerrin McEvoy steps into the saddle here, which looks to be a massive plus. These odds are too good to pass up.

I don’t think Via Sistina is here to mess around here in the Makybe Diva Stakes! She’s the heavy favourite and she got the job done in the Winx Stakes a couple of weeks back, and now there’s only a field of six to contend with. JMac sticks (of course), and there’s a lot of green ticks coming the way of the champion mare.

Lazzura is stepping up to a Group Two here after taking out a Group Three last time out. It was somewhat of a statement run, and I think the mare will go from strength to strength in this prep. She’s got a second-up record of 3: 1-0-1, and around the $2.50 mark, she’s still got a little bit of value around her as the favourite.
