Is six times the charm for Floral Legend, who is yet to break her maiden? I think a big positive is the change in barn, as she is now with Anthony and Sam Freedman. She’s lightly raced and performed well in a trial last week. There are a couple of question marks, but she does do some of her best work first-up.

Sticking with the favourite here, but it is still a fairly open field, with Burj currently going around with decent odds of $3.90. The mare chalked up her second career victory last time out, at Wyong in a BM64. This one is also a BM64, and Tom Sherry, who has been on board for her last two runs, retains the ride.

I’m taking on the $2.20 favourite here with Cannyworth. He kicked off his prep in the best way possible, with a win at Bendigo by 2.5L on a Heavy8. Last time out, he couldn’t back that performance up and went out of the blocks a little too quickly. Draws barrier four and only has to carry 57kg on his back. A lot to like.
