Ethan Brown sticks and can improve on his 8:3-1-2 record on board Jimmysstar.

Heading to Newcastle now for the Group Two Hunter, and I’ll be on Yorkshire, who I think can live up to the weight of expectation that’s on him. We haven’t seen the gelding since February when he peeled off a hat-trick of wins. He has had two recent trials that suggest he is ready to rock and roll again. He has a first-up record of 2:1-1-0 and is good enough to get the job done today.

For my last best bet of the day, I’ll be taking a chance on Formal for a top-three finish at Doomben. Gets absolutely no favours from the barrier draw, but he impressed last time out, finishing second at Wyong, by just 0.31L. He has already graced the winner’s stall when second-up, so I think he’ll be in and around the finish at crunch time.
