Sticking with the favourite here at Moe, and I think Amleto can chalk up his second career win. He hasn’t managed to win since coming to Australia, but this looks like an easier race compared to what he has been running in previously. He should have race fitness in his corner as well, and can stay out of early trouble with a wide draw.

Quick Analysis:

I think Composed can run a good race at decent odds. The colt comes into this one in good form, finishing second in Hawkesbury last time out, which should be a good reference for this one. The winner in that one looks to be a runner on a different kind of trajectory. Tom Sherry retains the ride as well, and they should go one better here.

Heading back to Moe now for the Moe Cup. Star Vega is going around at each-way odds, and I’m willing to take a chance on the gelding who presents more value in my eyes than the favourite. He has been competitive without gracing the winner’s stall as of late, and has been struck down with Heavy-rated tracks. Hopefully, this one sticks in the Soft range.
