Quick Analysis:

Soul Of Spain is borderline each-way odds, but I’m pretty confident he can topple the favourite, so I’ll be taking him for the win outright. The gelding fought hard last time out in the Group One The Metropolitan, and finished just 0.77L off the leader in second. He had won four in a row before that. I don’t think he should have any issue in this one.

Heading to Ascot now, and my play of the day out west comes in Race 2 with Split The Gee, who is currently going around as the favourite. She put in a gusty effort two runs back, and that kind of form is what I’m basing this decision on. If she can get a clear run, she has the form to win this one, especially from barrier two.

Quick Analysis:

Looking to finish strongly close to the end of the day at Randwick with Linebacker. The Group One winner will have to lug the top weight, but his turn of foot simply cannot be ignored for this one. He draws wide (barrier 12), but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing considering his racing pattern. Look for him to be storming home down the straight.
