After a second-place first-up at Kilmore, The Grumpy Bear fell a little flat last time out at Ballarat. I think he is better than that result suggests, and a bounce-back performance is on the cards. He draws wide, but I think that works into his hands more, and is the deserved favourite in this one. Jockey Zac Spain takes over from Lachlan Neindorf.

Heading to Grafton now, and I think She’s Exotic can get the job done in Race 5. The mare is currently on the second line of betting, and there’s still a smidge of value about here. I liked the effort she put in at Ipswich back in August, winning that one, and while she didn’t fire at her last two attempts at Doomben, she comes in light at the weights.

There are a lot of live chances in this one, and I’ll be sticking with Risk For Reward, who presents each-way value in a field of nine. He is coming off a nice BM58 win at Ballina and has won twice so far in eight attempts during this campaign. Jockey Damien Thornton sticks with him here, and they draw barrier three.
