Prorata won first-up last prep, and looking at the field, he should be winning this one to kick things off again. He jumps from the box seat (barrier one), which I think will give him a good advantage over his main rivals. The $2.80 you’re currently getting for the 4YO is decent enough, but probably wouldn’t want him to shorten any further.

Going with the favourite in Omanori for this one at Moe. The gelding has a decent career record of 5: 1-2-1, including a win last time out at this track. He steps up from 2,069m to 2,447m, and his win last time out was over 3.8L. He has to carry the top weight, but he is certainly capable of winning this one. Jockey Ethan Brown sticks as well.

Back to Taree now, and I think I’ve found a little bit of value with Canny Prospect, who is on the fourth line of betting, with place odds of $2.35. The 6YO is a last-start winner at Port Macquarie, over virtually the same distance as well. This one does look a little tougher, especially with the likes of So Koby, but he is in with a decent shout.
