I think Polish Playgirl looks good to break her maiden here. She finished seventh first-up at Sandown, but I think the step up to 1,440m is ideal, and she’ll be fitter for that run under her belt. She hasn’t had a lot of luck in her career, and is certainly due for some here (which she might need jumping wide). Against this field, she should take care of things.

Heading over to Hawkesbury now, and I’ll be taking Affermato for the place in Race 6. If you’re feeling brave, take him for the win or each-way, but I’ll play it safe just in case. Last time out, the gelding finished second, by just 0.33L over the same track and trip. His last two runs have come at this track; he seems to be going through the gears nicely.

Quick Analysis:

In the last at Hawkesbury today, I’ll be having an each-way play on Believe in Angels, who is currently on the second line of betting. He’ll have to carry the top weight, and is jumping wide, which is probably why we're getting around the $4.80 mark. Drawing wide may work to his advantage, though. He can settle back, staying out of trouble, then peel off down the straight.
