Going with the favourite, Jagerschnitzel, in Race 4 at Wellington today. The gelding has been performing well so far this prep without being able to break through for his first career win. Last time out, he finished 1.14L off the leader in second place at Muswellbrook. Draws wide, but that might be the place to be in Heavy conditions.

Quick Analysis:

Mistavain has been performing well so far this prep, including a second place by just 0.06L last time out at Mildura. Drops back to a BM58 this one, and it looks to be a fairly open race. The value lies with Mistavain in my eyes, with the gelding paying $4.20 with Dabble. Draws well and should be the one to beat.

Quick Analysis:

In the last at Wellington, I’m going against the favourite and siding with Sweet Bubble for an each-way play. Gets no favours drawing the widest barrier of them all, but on a Heavy-rated track in the last, wide might be the best place to be. We haven’t seen Sweet Bubbles since April, but her last prep was fruitful, with two wins from five attempts.
