The 4YO has to lug the top weight, but considering what he did last time out, that is justified. He won at Goulburn by 2.69L, while also carrying the top weight. This is a more competitive race, but Son Of Eureka has the class.

Another race with a fairly open field, and I’ll be on Tierra for this one, who is currently going around as one of the favourites, at $4.40. She went around as the favourite last time out, but couldn’t salute, finishing third, but only 0.35L. We are getting more value for her this time out, and she has been good without winning yet this prep. Now looks to be the time.

I’ll be sticking with the favourite in Race 7 at Kilmore, in Marilyn's Edge. With back-to-back second placings, both under 0.5L, she looks set to notch up her second career win in 10 attempts. She goes back to non-metro class, and it’s difficult to see anyone else giving her a scare in this one. She gets in fairly nicely in the weights as well.
