Best Horse Racing Multi Bets for Today
After winning the Group Three Caulfield Guineas Prelude last time out, it’s pretty hard to go past Esterno in this one. He won that race as a $7.00 pop, and now we’re getting $4.80 for the colt to win this one, which puts him on the second line of betting.
For this multi though, going to play it safe, and take him at odds of $1.80 with PlayUp to place. Esterno looks to be going through the gears nicely, and back-to-back wins are certainly within reach here. He is classy enough to overcome the top weight as well.
Lady Lucifer is the favourite for this one at Eagle Farm, and for good reason too. She comes into this one in excellent form, boasting back-to-back wins at Doomben and the Gold Coast. She jumps from a BM70 to a BM78 in this one, and it does look a little harder.
However, if you look at the margin of her last two wins (both by over 2L), you would think she’d be able to take on this more difficult field as well. Bet Right is currently offering $2.70 for the mare to get the win, which is decent enough odds, especially when we mix it together in this multi.
We’ve got a field of 10 for this one, and it looks to be a fairly open affair on paper. I’ll be sticking with Lazzura to round out my multi, though, who is currently paying $4.80 for the win and $1.75 for the place with VicBet. The place bet for this multi looks like the way to go.
She’s another runner that seems to be going through the gears nicely, with back-to-back wins in the Group Three Show County Quality and then the Group Two Let's Elope Stakes. James McDonald, who has been aboard for the last two runs, retains the ride.
