Best Horse Racing Multi Bets for Today

Another Saturday has arrived, and the AustralianBettingSites team have put together their best horse racing multi tips of the day.

It’s time to get your hands on our free horse racing tips for today. Our horse racing multi bets include three plays all rolled into one. The australianbettingsites.net.au team base their multi tips on several factors, including recent form, track conditions, trainer record, jockey/ runner combo, and more.

Multi Bet Tip

My multi for today comes across three tracks and includes some of my most confident plays of the day. I ended up choosing PlayUp for the odds, as they usually have some of the most competitive in the market.

LegsOdds
12. Sheza Alibi (Caulfield, Race 7)$1.60 (Win)
1. Grand Prairie (Newcastle, Race 7)$1.40 (Place)
9. Pure Excess (Ascot, Race 8)$1.85 (Place)
Total Odds: $4.14
Bet $10 for a $41.40 Payout with Play Up

win

Caulfield, Race 7 - 12. Sheza Alibi

At $1.60 with PlayUp (at the time of writing), there’s certainly not a lot of value around Sheza Alibi, but the filly is a perfect selection for a multi. She comes into the Sandown Guineas in winning form after taking out The Vanity at Flemington last time out, by 1.75L.

She gets in light at the weights as well, and drawing barrier one is yet another tick in the positive column. Jockey Luke Nolen retains the ride from last time out, and she performs well on both Good and Soft-rated tracks. There’s rain about in Melbourne, so we’re probably looking at a Soft track by Race 7.

win

Newcastle, Race 7 - 1. Grand Prairie

Grand Prairie is currently the favourite for the Group Three Spring Stakes, and it’s easy to see why. Put a line through his run last time out, and focus on his run at Rosehill a couple of starts ago. He won the Group Three Up And Coming Stakes, which should be the ideal form guide for this one.

He won the Group Three with Tom Sherry on board, and he steps back into the saddle for this one. Grand Prairie draws barrier two, which gives the pair a lot of options. Bet Right currently has Grand Prairie going around with odds of $1.45 to run top three, so I’ll take that for my multi, just to play it safe.

win

Ascot, Race 8 - 9. Pure Excess

For the Group Three Champion Fillies Stakes, I like the look of Pure Excess. With back-to-back third placings at this track, she looks prime to go one or two better today. You can pick up odds of $1.75 with Bet Right at the moment for the 3YO to finish top three.

Trainer Daniel Morton seems to have her ready to go, and she could have won the Burgess Queen Stakes if she hadn’t been held up at a critical time. She’ll need a little luck from barrier six, but gets up to 1,600m for the first time, which looks ideal, and she hasn’t missed the top three in her first four career starts.

Stats and Insights

  • tip
Dandy’s Gem brings consistent staying form and a last-start Belmont win. She draws to race on speed and shapes as a value chance in Race 3 at Ascot.
  • tip
Beast Mode has the proven winning edge that most of this field lacks. Despite a tricky draw, he still finds a very winnable race in Race 4 at Caulfield.
  • tip
Exceed Speed is deep into career-best form and gets favourable mapping from gate nine. He finds a very winnable race in Race 6 at Doomben.
  • tip
Capitalex produced multiple strong placings last prep and has returned in form. He draws inside and maps to settle midfield, looking set to score in Race 7 at Morphettville.

tip-strategyNow that you’ve locked in your multi-play for the day, what’s next? Well, you can sit back and watch all the racing action! Just make sure all your bets for the day are placed in advance, so you have enough time to shop around and find which bookie is offering the best odds.
