Just For Show - Chased hard to secure third last time out, proving determination. Last start, Just For Show finished in the placings over 1400m at Sandown-Hillside on 14/06/2025. Handles good ground well and has the form to back it up. Good track stats with a win rate of 50% and place rate of 83.3%. There’s no doubt that Luke Cartwright is the right person for the job this Saturday. With a solid record, they’ll play a major role. Has managed to win at 1440m before, but needs a strong run. Yet to crack it at this track (Caulfield) - will this race be the one?

Biggest Threat (Danger):

Amber Star - With a record of three straight placings, Amber Star is showing it can keep up with the best. Amber Star ran at Swan Hill on 08/06/2025, finishing 3rd in a 1200m event. On Saturday, Hannah Edgley will get to ride this one. A strong run between these two will be key.

Value Play:

Brandjam - Dominant victory last start. Last start performance, Brandjam came 1st over 1200m at Cranbourne. Jockey Declan Bates is looking sharp ahead of Saturday. With their keen eye and strong race judgment, they’ll be a key factor.

Top Tip (Best Bet):

Chinqui - Chinqui has demonstrated remarkable consistency, placing in three straight races. Last time out, Chinqui competed over 1000m, placing 1st at Sandown-Hillside. Tom Prebble will guide Chinqui and given their record, they’ll give the horse every chance to shine. Still searching for that first win at Caulfield, but it’s certainly not out of the question.

Biggest Threat (Danger):

Keep Your Cool - Coming off an eye-catching win in its most recent run. Keep Your Cool raced recently, placing 1st in a 1200m event at Mornington. This Saturday, Luke Cartwright will be in the saddle and ready for a win. This race looks suitable for this tactical rider. Every time it’s lined up at this trip of 1200m, it’s delivered - big danger again. Solid record over this distance, winning 2 times from 2 runs.

Value Play:

Red Hot Nicc - Missed out on the top four but could be set for an improved showing soon. Jockey Zac Spain gets the ride on Saturday. They're a talented jockey with a decent race sense. He thrives on this track - a real specialist here, always delivering.

Dublin Journal - A commendable fourth-place finish last start, keeping pressure on the leaders at Caulfield. On 14/06/2025, Dublin Journal lined up at Sandown-Hillside, finishing 4th over 1800m. Competitive at this track, placing in 3 of 6 starts, with 2 wins.

Value Play:

Milford - Milford competed at Sandown-Hillside over 1800m, finishing 7th. Declan Bates is in the saddle and in nice racing form. This should be a dangerous combo. Has tasted success on this Caulfield track but needs to find more. At this venue, has a career record of 3-2-0, including 3 victories.

John Allen only has 4 runners on Saturday but I think they’re all capable of a winning run. It could start in Race 1 with Oyster Lane and I like the form of Earlswood.

On Saturday, this is my quaddie bet of the day to get around, should offer plenty of fun while watching the races live.
