Saturday Horse Racing Tips – Randwick 12/07/2025

It's Matt here. Please enjoy some of my Horse racing tips at Randwick on Saturday. For my best bet of the day, it has to be Promitto in Race 6 at Randwick. Meanwhile, someone to watch out for will be Puntin at Randwick in Race 10. We have a soft 6 rating at Randwick on Saturday afternoon. Let's go!

My top picks are hot off the press. In Race 6, Promitto looks like safe money to win. While in the next two races, Don't Forget Jack and Changing Colours should run a solid race.

Top Tip (Best Bet):

Promitto - A finish outside the top four last start, but there were positives to take away. Promitto stepped out at Randwick on 21/06/2025, finishing 5th over 1800m.

Biggest Threat (Danger):

Rise To It - A finish outside the top four, but not without merit - could be one to watch. Rise To It competed at Rosehill over 2000m, finishing 5th. Winless at Randwick - needs to lift to turn that around, this could be his race to do it.

Value Play:

Shahzad - His last race result placed outside the top four, yet displayed some strong moments. Hasn't won often but could sneak one with the right run. Last start, Shahzad finished in the placings over 2400m at Rosehill on 14/06/2025. No wins at Randwick yet, but this could be the day Shahzad turns things around.

Top Tip (Best Bet):

Don't Forget Jack - Finished a close second last race, right on the winner’s heels. Last start performance, Don't Forget Jack came 2nd over 1400m at Rosehill. Track record isn’t inspiring, but anything can happen at Randwick on Saturday. Has dominated on soft tracks before, expect another strong effort.

Biggest Threat (Danger):

Puntin - Last start winner with a powerful finish. Last time out, Puntin competed over 1400m, placing 1st at Rosehill. Handles this distance of 1600m well, no surprise to see it fighting out the finish. Hasn’t won at Randwick yet, but might be ready to change that. Good enough in soft conditions, but faces some tough competition on Saturday.

Value Play:

Hellfire Express - Ran a strong third in the previous outing, keeping pressure on the leaders. Hellfire Express raced recently, placing 3rd in a 1600m event at Randwick. Hellfire Express has the potential to build on its past performances here, showing flashes of brilliance.

Top Tip (Best Bet):

Changing Colours - Changing Colours has been a consistent performer, placing in three consecutive races without fail. Comes off a win at Rosehill and could do it again.

Biggest Threat (Danger):

Slinky - Slinky has struggled a bit this prep but this could be the time to turn it around. She usually runs well after a few races under her belt and Rachel King has won 2 of 5 starts on board.

Value Play:

Gently Rolled - A game third-place finish last race, battling to the line. Last start performance, Gently Rolled came 3rd over 1400m at Rosehill.

Jason Collett has a big day ahead of him at Randwick and I think he could easily pick up plenty of wins. His best chance is likely Callistemon in Race 3 and we’ve talked about Changing Colours already.

On Saturday, this is my quaddie bet of the day to get around, should offer plenty of fun while watching the races live.
