With the Ipswich track currently rated a Heavy8, I’m all about the runners who enjoy a wet track, and it looks like Raging fits the bill. He is coming into this one with a bit of form as well, placing in three of his last four outings. Jockey Jade Metcalfe knows Raging well, and he draws an inside barrier.

We haven’t seen Bella Khadijah since January, but she has had two recent trials at Rosehill. Last start, the 3YO finished just a length ahead of the leader after jumping with odds of $11. Hawkesbury will be in the Heavy range for this meeting, and while she hasn’t contested on a Heavy track, her Soft record sits at 4:1-0-2.

After a strong win last time out, I like the look of Regimental Colours to go back-to-back. Braith Nock, who was onboard for that win, saddles up again this time out. Gets back to a non-metro grade, so there’s a lot to like. At $2.90, I think there’s still a little bit of value there as well.
