Saltburn has been building nicely so far this prep, with three placings from four runs. However, he did disappoint last time out when finishing third at Seymour as the $2.70 favourite. He gets a chance to redeem himself this time out and I think bettors should give him another chance.

The 4YO mare was only just beaten last time out at Echuca when she was heavily backed and went around the $3.00 favourite. Much like Saltburn, I think Flash Of Dallas can redeem herself here. She boasts three placings from all three runs so far this prep. Has to be considered one of the main chances.

I’ve found a little bit of value with the Todd Payne-trained Takemine. The mare made ground late in the piece last time out to claim a 0.2L victory at her home track, Inverell. She is in some strong form as well, including two wins from 10 races. At $3.75 for the place, she’s pretty good value.

  • Tampa Bay resumes off a 7-week break and has placed fresh before, drawn to be effective in a sharp Race 2 sprint over 900m at Scone.
